Uttarakhand Red Rice

Uttarakhand red rice is an ancient grain of Himalayas grown from time immemorial in this region. This pack of red rice is sourced from the middle Himalayan region of Mandakini & Pinder river basin. This rice is usually consumed either partially hulled or unhulled. Red rice derives its eye-grabbing colour from this component and has much more nutrient value as compared to other varieties of rice. Red rice has lots of fibre, due to the bran, and the flavour is significantly more powerful compared to hulled rice, tasting more nutty and full. Its abundant fibre helps establish a healthy digestive system. It is a rich source of potassium, manganese, iron, zinc, vitamin B1 and B2, together with other valuable minerals. It also provides antioxidants that help defend cells from damage caused by potentially harmful molecules known as free radicals.

Uttarakhand Red Rice more popularly known as Laal Chawal is organically grown in all region of Uttarakhand. This extremely nutritious rice comes with a firm texture and a nutty flavour. this is 100% Natural and Organic Red Rice Laal Chawal. No any chemical or pesticide used for farming, there sourced are mainly from the high rises of Uttarakhand. Specially used for kheer. The heavy rain in the high altitude Uttarakhand valleys is partly responsible for its firm texture and interesting flavour. Cooking this rice with the husk on is going to incorporate a considerable amount of Vitamin B1 or Thiamine into your diet.
