Organic Agarbatti (also known as Incense Sticks) is traditionally a product of the India. Agarbatti is derived from Sanskrit word Agaravarthi, (gara = odor, agar = aroma, varthi = wound). It is made from Bamboo sticks, Charcoal, Jiggit etc., and a fragrance that is applied to it as required. Agarbatti is an integral part of any Hindu ritual. During rituals, an incense stick is lighted to remove unpleasant odors in the air. It creates the perfect setting for an auspicious ritual by filling the air with a pleasant smell. As it releases smoke, it also acts as organic disinfectants that drive away insects. The Agarbatti also has its own spiritual significance. The incense stick burns itself completely into ashes and yet fills the air with a pleasant smell. This ritual basically denotes human virtue of sacrificing oneself for society.

The oldest source on agarbatti is the Vedas, specifically, the Atharva-Veda and Rig-Vedas. Incense burning was used to create both pleasing aromas during Pooja, creating a soothing atmosphere enhancing the abilities of meditation and as a medicinal tool. It is a sacred perfume and it changes the whole atmosphere of the place of worship. This is used for spreading the fragrance, which symbolically suggests the presence of the deity and the love for the deity.
